Fotini Lazou is a renowned Greek fashion designer based in Zurich. Under her own label, Fotini Lazou designs and produces tailor made creations, costumes, collections for manufacturers and fashion accesoires.

Born in Grevena, a city nestled in the mountains of Northern Greece, Fotini Lazou arrived in Thessaloniki at a young age. Concluding her studies in painting and fashion, Fotini Lazou designed collections for various labels. In 2008, Fotini Lazou founded her first company "Les satinees," with her own studio in Thessaloniki. Since 2022, Fotini Lazou is based in Switzerland.

In Zurich, Fotini Lazou broke into the Swiss Market with a mandate to design a costume for a lead character in a local theater play.​​
«Virtutem Forma Decorat »
The ancient philosopher Plato held the view that outer beauty is an expression of inner virtue. Fotini Lazou decided to incorporate Plato's phrase « Beauty adorns virtue » into her logo. In one of her interviews, Fotini Lazou explains the deeper meaning behind that phrase in her logo:

«This is the mantra that defines my creative approach towards any project; wether it is a garment or an object. It is an inscription on the back of Leonardo Da Vinci's portrait of Ginevra de' Benci, painted in 1478. To me, « Beauty adorns virtue » symbolises my approach to fashion: The garments that I design should adorn the person wearing it. Truth is eternal. I want to outfit my clients with creations that withstand the test of time, both as a desgin and as quality pieces that last».
